Ms. Sandra Khan brings over 20 years of professional experience in the Information Technology field, having worked in information systems management, software development, and account management roles in both private and public sectors in Guyana, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago. She has a BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree from McMaster University (Canada), an MSc Information Security (Royal Holloway, London) and a Post Graduate Diploma (Higher Education) from the University of Guyana.

Ms. Khan is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2011 and has had the pleasure of joining the academic community at the University of Guyana since the 2017-2018 academic year and of being the Staff Advisor for the Department of Computer Science’s Cybersecurity Club (UGCC). Her research interests include National Cybersecurity Policy and Technology Frameworks, Use of Information Technology to strengthen Democracy, Transparency and Open Governments, Technology in Education Policy, Critical Infrastructure Inter-dependency modeling and malware analysis.

Ms. Khan teaches the following courses:

· ISY4101 – Information Systems Research

· CSE2203 – Computer and Information Security Fundamentals

· ISY3201 – Information Systems Strategy, Management and Acquisition
