Department of Mathematics, Physics & Statistics
My name is Antalov Jagnandan. I am 35 years old. My wife, Leslyn, and I have two daughters Anaya and Antonia. In addition to being a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Statistics, I am the Associate Pastor of Lusignan Assembly of God Church. I also sit on the National Body of the youth arm of the Assemblies of God in Guyana.
My academic qualifications began at Queens College where I sat the CXC and GCE A level examinations. I went on to the University of Guyana where I obtained a Diploma in Computer Science, a BSc Computer Science, a BSc Mathematics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in Mathematics. I am in the process of completing a Med in Administration from the University of Guyana.
My professional experience in teaching began at St Joseph High as a teacher in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the age of 17 in October, 2000. I have also been privileged to teach at various private schools and colleges in the areas of Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. I have lectured at the Cyril Potter’s College of Education from 2007 to 2009. In October 2009, I became a lecturer at the University of Guyana.
I love sports and still do enjoy participating in various games. My passion is doing the will of God by making an impact on the lives of young people both as a lecturer and a Minister of Religion. This passion has seen me giving of my gifts in various communities in Guyana to help persons.
