Ms. Kaslyn Holder Collins has over ten years of experience as a Scientific Officer. She has thought several courses in the Department of Biology including Economic Botany and Biology of Plants. She has conducted research on:

Mammalian diversity in mining areas, Fungal diversity and abundance in protected areas, Orchid diversity and abundance in protected areas, invasive nature of Tilapia on Patwa abundance, butterfly diversity inter alia. She has also expressed an interest in the plants at the Promenade Gardens and is a member of the Guyana Society For Biodiversity and Ecosystems (GSBE). She believes that research is the action of solving problems.
