Holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Economics and a Post-graduate Diploma in Education in Mathematics (Credit) from the University of Guyana. He joined the Department of Economics in 1988 and has served as Head of Department for eleven (11) years. Prior to joining the faculty he worked with the Ministry of Education as a Secondary School teacher at Schools along the Coast and Interior regions of Guyana. He also worked as a Research Fellow with the Central Bank of Guyana.
