Holds a Bachelor of Laws (Credit) from the University of Guyana, Post Graduate Diploma in Laws and a Post Graduate Certificate in Laws-Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of London; a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School; Master of Laws and Master of Laws-Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of London; and Doctor of Philisophy in Medication and Conflict Resolution from the Euclid University. She joined the faculty in 2019 and has served as Head of Department. Prior to joining the University she served as State Counsel in the Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecution, Magistrate with the Judicial Service Commission of Guyana, Solicitor General with the Chambers of the Attorney General and Managing Attorney of Kyte, Small and Barker law firm. In addition to the Department of Law she also lectures in the Graduate School of the Social Sciences.
