Holds a diploma in Social Work and Bachelor of Social Science degree in Social Work (Distinction) from the University of Guyana, and a Master of Social Work from the University of the West Indies. She joined the faculty in the Department of Sociology in 2011 and has served as Coordinator of the Master of Social Work. Prior to joining the faculty, she served as a Social Worker with Lifeline Counselling Services. She currently serves as the Interim Director and Coordinator of the Institute of Human Resiliency, Strategic Security and the Future.
