POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN TRANSLATION - SPANISH

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons who may wish to pursue the Post-

Graduate Diploma in Translation - Spanish in the Department of Languages and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Education and Humanities,

University of Guyana

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants for this two-year programme should normally possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least a pass with credit (G.P.A of 2.7) in any of the following:
i. Spanish Major
ii. Spanish Major with French or Portuguese Minor
iii. Double Major in Spanish and French or Spanish and Portuguese
iv. Triple Major in French, Portuguese and Spanish

Other Qualifications:

v. Graduates with 5 or more years of tertiary-level study in a Spanish-speaking country may also apply.

vi. Any equivalent qualification(s).

COMMENCEMENT DATE (Year 1):

Semester 1 – 6 March 2023 – 21 June 2023

Semester 2 – 10 July 2023 – 18 October 2023

ADMISSION FEE: GYD$1,000/ equivalent in USD subject to exchange rate)
Tuition Cost: GYD$302,500 per year/ (equivalent in USD subject to exchange rate)
Student Facility Fee: GYD$50,000 per year

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Application will open online on the websites of the University of Guyana from 30 January 2023
to 11 February 2023, Department of Language and Cultural Studies. Where necessary,
interviews will be conducted from 13-17 February.
