About The Graduate School of the Social Sciences

The Graduate School of the Social Sciences through a licensing agreement with the Commonwealth of Learning offers two Masters programmes: Commonwealth Master in Business Administration (CMBA) and Commonwealth Master in Public Administration (CMPA).

The objective of the Commonwealth Master in Business Administration (CMBA) and the Commonwealth Master in Public Administration (CMPA) programme is to enhance capabilities in business and public administration, public policy and systems management. The programmes will therefore provide participants with advanced training in the appropriate techniques of policy design and analysis, accounting and finance, management techniques and research methodology. The research project will allow participants to engage in a problem solving exercise which facilitates application of the skills acquired during the course of study, to the development process in Guyana and in particular the organizations to which the participants are attached.
