Ms. Marshall pursued her Undergraduate Nursing Degree at the University of Guyana with a major in Health Service Management. She went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Nursing at the Saint Joseph College, Connecticut, U.S.A in 2010.

In 2015 she graduated with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Administration) at the University of Guyana.

Ms. Marshall currently facilitates Nursing and Public Health courses. These courses include; Primary Health Issues (NUR 4102), Pathophysiology (NUR 3102) and Health Promotion/Education (HSC 1202). She also supervises student research and practicum. She conducted research in Occupational Health and Safety/Disaster Preparedness, Nursing Programme Effectiveness and Prescription Drug Addiction.

Ms. Marshall functioned as the Coordinator of the BSc. Nursing Programme from 2012-2014 and from 2016-2017.
