Meet the Head of Department

Welcome to the Department of History and Caribbean Studies.  This Department comprises History, Tourism Studies and Caribbean Studies Units and offers dynamic programmes leading to an Associate Degree in History, a Bachelor Degree in History and a Bachelor Degree in Tourism Studies.   The Department also offers service courses across the Faculties of the University, such as HST 2105-A Survey in Guyanese History and CST 1207-Guyana Studies and TST 1201-Principles and Development of Eco Tourism.  The Department has a team of competent, student friendly staff, experts in their respective fields, that are prepared to deliver the programmes offered, using a variety of methodologies, including off campus trips, (both local and overseas).  Come broaden your horizons with us.
