UG after winning the toss, elected to bat and were dismissed for 65 with Ray Newton top scoring with 15 while Ramjan gabbed 3-5 for Spartans who reached 69 for seven to complete the win.

The students bounced back in their second match with a 17-run win over Lusignan. UG after winning the toss, mustered 96 – 4 from 10 overs with Ershaad Ali (33), Newton (31) and Omesh Danram (21) making robust contributions to the total.
