Parrot Conservation Workshop

There were twenty (25) participants. This one-day lecture (March 17, 2018) was carried out in collaboration with Dr. LoraKim Joyner, One Earth Conservation, Foster Parrots and Guyana Wildlife Division and was held at the CSBD. Participants from the University of Guyana Berbice and Turkeyen Campus in addition to personnel from the Guyana Wildlife Division and the Guyana Mangrove Restoration Project. All participants were taught about Psittacine Conservation: Status and Methodology in the Americas, Status of Parrots in Guyana, Welfare and Management, Avian Medicine and Conservation Medicine and were introduced to the human Dimensions of Conservation
