Rovindra graduated with his BSc. In Biology (distinction) at the University of Guyana 52nd Convocation ceremony. He was also the receipt of this year’s UGSS award. His undergraduate research focused on climate change impacts on farmers and their adaptive strategies. He worked as a research assistant on several projects including parasites in fishes, impacts of mangrove degradation on fish assemblages, tree diversity in urban landscapes, incidental capture of marine turtles among others. Additionally, he is a founding member and the former president of the University of Guyana Biology club and an active volunteer at the Center for the Study of Biological Diversity. Currently, he works as a tutor in the Department of Biology and an intern at the Center for the study of Biological Diversity.
